Tarwhines!

Scientific name: Rhabdosargus sarba !



Tarwhine are common to the Solitary islands and are usually confused with Bream. Bream however lack a golden striping that the Tarwhine have. They Grow to 450mm and weigh up to 1.5kg
Tarwhine are also more rounded in the nose!
Tarwhine tend to School in a lot of parts of the Solitary Islands, and like to spend time in slight current.
If you asked where to see them for sure, Drop down North Boulder Wall mooring and you would be unlucky not to see them!
