| The Moorish Idol is a lovely looking fish with a prominent long white dorsal fish. There are other fish like bannerfish that look similar, however there is two main areas to note the difference. The Moorish Idol is smaller than the bannerfish, and has a distinctive black rimmed, yellow 'saddle' on it's nose. |

| The Morrish Idol featured in the Movie "Finding Nemo" as "Gill" the leader of the pack in the fish tank. They are often seen in small schools and rarely on their own. We see Moorish Idols all through the Solitary Islands Marine Park, and are a colourful feature of our dives. |
