The Go Pro HD Hero2 Video Camera comes in 3 configerations,
Extra work to get the best out of the Go Pro HD camera for underwater use, using Flat lens.
Waterproof to 60m and protected from rocks and other hazards thanks to its removable polycarbonate housing. Go Pro HD cameras have been designed mainly for above water use and the dome lens doesn't offer the best for underwater.
Replacing the lens with a Flat lens solves a lot of focus and blur issues, a real must for quality underwater video, but it is not provided by Go Pro themselves. Flat lens are available, as a housing or a lower cost Lens replacement only.

Go For Focus Flat lens for Go Pro HD Cameras
A simple procedure of replacing the dome lens with a Go For Focus lens is done by removing the 6 screws with a jewelers screwdriver and then installing the Flat "Go For Focus" lens. Two types are available, the plastic version and the newly introduced Glass lens.
The Glass Go For Focus lens is slightly dearer and if vunerable to abrasion is less likely to scratch.
In addition to the lenses is a low cost Red Filter which is able to be located inside either lens to replace the loss of the colour red in depths of water greater than 10 metres
how to mount your Go Pro HD camera
We suggest the Go Pro HD Hero "Naked" model is what you need for Scuba Diving. Included is one mount for attaching the camera to a helmet or other curved surface as well as the quick-release HD housing which protects the camera.
The Optional extra Go Pro Tripod mount
allows you to connect to other dive equipment using a 1/4" threaded bolt.
The Go Pro HD HERO is compatible with all other GoPro HERO camera mounting accessories, so it’s very easy to expand the functionality of your camera to suction cup to vehicles, clamp to bike handlebars and seat posts, mount to surfboards, and even be worn on the wrist or chest.
