Hope you all had a good Summer, Look out! Already here at Easter holidays!
Diving at the Solitarys has had it's ups and downs this Summer, with nothing outstanding with the visibility.
Weather was very good for the school holidays in January, and then became a washout with wind and rough seas for most of the Feb/March period!
Easter lived up to it's reputation of poor weather, with Saturday and Sunday a Blowout! Let's hope the rest of the Easter school holidays give us favourable conditions!
If you haven't been looking at our Dive reports you would have missed the sightings of Manta Rays in very clear water!
With 25-26c water temp (Yummy!) and 20mtrs or better visibility, we have had some excellent diving, along with that we have a heap of Grey Nurse Sharks at Manta Arch, yesterday's count was 28! Quite amazing for March!

Whalesharks and Mantas!...
Yes, with a great suggestion from one of the group, we have now included a extension to the Holiday, to snorkel with Whalesharks and dive with Manta Rays.
We will start the trip out of Sydney flying to Manila. After a overnight stop, we fly to Donsol, where we snorkel with Whalesharks for two days and dive with Manta Rays (and Whalesharks if we are lucky) at "Manta Bowl" for another day.
Next we are back to Manila and then trip down to the dive destination of Puerto Galera. Here we spend 7 nights and 10 boat dives enjoying the amazing little critters of Puerto Galera and Spectacular big fish action around Verde Island

Yes, School Holiday time in July! TUFI is one of New Guinea's best locations
2nd to 10th July $3395 includes 15 dives and all meals!

Tufi resort is located on the mainland of PNG and only a 50 minute flight from Port Moresby. The resort boasts spectaular views of the local fiord style inlets formed by extinct volcanoes. Offshore from Tufi is a host of divesites, offering clear water and untouched reef. This location is so remote, only accessible by boat and aircraft.
PNG has water temp around 30c and there are chances of seeing a huge variety of rare marine life, including Hammerhead sharks on the offshore reefs and walls, and then the macro beauty with their muck diving shore dives. The trip includes 10 boat dives, usually in the morning, followed by 5 shore dives in the afternoons looking for small critters.
WWII wrecks are within reach for a dive too. This trip package has twin share accommodation and all meals included with Airfares and taxes from Brisbane.
Snorkellers are welcome with most divesites offering both.

Long Weekend 12th and 13th June
At only $440, it’s a great weekend of wreck diving! Arrive Friday night and then we dive Saturday and Sunday, with 4 dives on the ex-HMAS Brisbane.
The weekend includes 2 nights accommodation and the 4 dives. All meals are extra. Equipment is available to hire for the weekend. We have limited numbers available for this trip, if you are interested, please book early to avoid disappointment!

The bag weighs 4 kg and has wheels and slide away handle for the airport, and will comfortably hold 23 kg weight.
