Visibility Report

The Visibility at South Solitary is looking better, with a milky 20m at Shark Gutters/Cleaner Station and the Gantry had clear, clear water.

Water Temperature

Water temp at South Solitary Island is still around 21/22C.

Sea Conditions

A 10-15kn NE with hardly any swell. Quite a current still running from South to North bringing in Cleaner Water.

What we saw out there today!

First up was Shark Gutters, a couple of Grey Nurse hanging around the mooring and a bucketload of Wobbygongs, quite a few of them swimming around for a change. Schooling fish everywhere, lots of Nudibranchs. Saw heaps more than usual, due to the very nice viz.
Dive two was a drift from The Gantry to Shark Gutters, more Grey Nurse and Godzilla the huge Bullray with two of his slightly smaller mates. A couple of Turtles and more schooling fish. Two very nice dives.

Happy Birthday to Deb!

What we saw out there today!

First up was North Boulder Wall, a Grey Nurse Shark right at the start of the dive. Lots of Wobbygongs, two Black Cod and a lot of schooling fish still buzzing around. A smallish Bullray hanging around Cleaner Station and did I mention schooling fish everywhere?
Dive two was a one way dive from Buchanans Wall to The Gantry. A Grey Nurse at Buchanans and another one at The Gantry. Two Turtles at The Gantry, Anenome Fish, Happy Moments and a pretty big Moray Eel on top of 5m Rock. We are really enjoying the improved viz.
