Dive and Conditions ReportSunday 5rd February 2012....The vis may have been a little basic out at South Solitary Island today, but there was sooo much to see! Just at the base of the Mooring at Buchanan's Wall we spotted Lionfish, an Octopus, a Pipefish and a huge Wobbygong Shark! The second dive was a drift from the top end to the Gantry. The vis improving slightly on this dive, hopefully a sign of clear water on its way! Temp 22C with the odd thermocline around. Sea Surface ConditionsA 5-10kn Southerly Breeze and 2m sea.A summary of Weather at Coffs Harbour in generalOver all, the conditions for scuba diving at Coffs Harbours Solitary Islands run relatively consistant throughout the year. We see visibility in the 10 - 30 metre range, with temps running 18 - 25 degrees C. (That's 70 - 80 for you Fareinheit folks!)There are minor Summer to Winter, seasonal fluctions, and of course weather conditions such as wind, currents, etc can make for a variation in our conditions.
